Repatriation and Return to Operations Support for a National Oil Company During COVID-19

Ribbon

Problem

Due to international travel restrictions, 38 of our client’s employees were unable to return to their home countries. They had completed their rotational assignments in South Sudan since May 2020. The employees were very worried and concerned about the possibility of border closure as the pandemic worsened.

Solution

We received our client’s request to repatriate all employees in South Sudan. We were on hand to source a charter option through a national commercial carrier. We worked diligently with various entities to secure over-flight and landing permits from civil aviation authorities. We provided charter arrangements for non-Malaysians to return home. We also provided COVID-19 safety briefings conducted to all 83 passengers and flight crew members. Our client’s employees were able to resume their operations on site.

Impact

The impact was very positive. Our health and security expertise helped reduce concern and anxiety of our clients’ employees by enabling a safe passage home.
