International Event Management Support During the COVID-19 Outbreak

Overview

International SOS provided best practice in responding to and managing COVID-19 health threats to a chemical producer multi-national. The company had events planned in Thailand.

Problem

Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, our client had planned conferences and retreats in Thailand. The challenge was to reassure their attendees that appropriate measures were in place to ensure that they could attend the events.

Solution

Our client reached out to us and explained the situation. We responded by implementing post-event mitigation procedures for travellers that were returning to their home countries. We also provided key information to the organisation's crisis management team to ensure successful event planning.

Impact

The outcome was very positive. The organisation was equipped with a robust risk management plan that addressed attendee safety needs from pre-trip to post-trip.
